hifi dealers uk first we will start with the definition of refractories and ceramics hifi dealers uk refractories and ceramics are non-metallic materials capable of maintaining physical and hifi dealers uk chemical stability at high temperatures refractories in modern practice are usually hifi dealers uk ceramic in nature and are used in a wide variety of hifi dealers uk primary secondary and tertiary industries wherever an industrial process involves heat hifi dealers uk in excess of 700 to 800 degrees fahrenheit (roughly) one will hifi dealers uk find refractory material in place either as a lining or forming hifi dealers uk the process vessel itself some common process vessels using refractories are; hifi dealers uk boiler combustion chambers furnaces like the one in the foundry incinerators hifi dealers uk many emission control scrubbers rotary kilns and so on the list hifi dealers uk is by know means exhaustive for example launch pads 39a and hifi dealers uk 39b at the kennedy space center are refractory lined the shuttles hifi dealers uk themselves are lined with ceramic tiles to protect them from the hifi dealers uk heat of re-entry into earth’s atmosphere these tiles are! unique to hifi dealers uk the shuttle but are non-metallic and heat resistant the making of hifi dealers uk refractory materials chart # 1 the first step in processing ceramics hifi dealers uk is crushing of the raw materials crushing is usually done in hifi dealers uk a ball mill either wet or dry wet crushing is more hifi dealers uk effective because it keeps the particles together and prevents the suspension hifi dealers uk of fine particles in air the ground particles are then mixed hifi dealers uk with additives the functions of which are one or more of hifi dealers uk the following: 1 binder for the ceramic particles 2 lubrication for hifi dealers uk mold release and to reduce internal friction between particles 3 wetting hifi dealers uk agent to improve mixing 4 plasticizer to make the mix more hifi dealers uk plastic and formable 5 various agents to control foaming and sintering hifi dealers uk 6 de-flocculent to make ceramic-water suspension de-flocculention changes the electrical charges hifi dealers uk on the clay particles so that they repel instead of attract hifi dealers uk each other next it’s time to begin the casting process the hifi dealers uk shaping process for refractories are casting plastic forming and pressing the hifi dealers uk most common casting process is slip casting the slip is poured hifi dealers uk into a porous mold made usually of plaster of paris then hifi dealers uk inverted and the remaining suspension is poured out for making hollow hifi dealers uk object much like slush casting the part is then trimmed the hifi dealers uk mold opened and the part removed the second process of shaping hifi dealers uk ceramics is plastic forming we have various methods of plastic forming hifi dealers uk such as extrusion injection molding and jiggering plastic forming tends to hifi dealers uk orient the layered structure of clays along the direction of material hifi dealers uk flow this leads to anisotrophic behavior of the material both in hifi dealers uk subsequent processing and in the final properties of the ceramic product hifi dealers uk in extrusion the clay mixture is forced through a die opening hifi dealers uk the cross section of the extruded product is constant and there hifi dealers uk are limitations to wall thickness for hollow extrusions finally the third hifi dealers uk process in shaping ceramics is pressing dry pressing is used for hifi dealers uk relatively simple shapes this process has high production rates and close hifi dealers uk control of tolerances dies are usually made of carbides or hardened hifi dealers uk steel however the dies can be quite expensive as the must hifi dealers uk have a high wear resistance from the abrasive ceramic tiles wet hifi dealers uk pressing is used to make very complex shapes production rates are hifi dealers uk high but part size is limited dimensional control is difficult because hifi dealers uk shrinking during drying and tooling can be expensive the third type hifi dealers uk of pressing is isostatic pressing mainly used to produce spark plug hifi dealers uk insulators silicon nitride vanes for high temperature and so on isostatic hifi dealers uk pressing allows one to obtain uniform density distribution throughout a part hifi dealers uk finally we have hot pressing which combines pressure and temperature the hifi dealers uk die life is short as a result of the temperature and hifi dealers uk usually protective atmosphere’s are used along with graphite materials used in hifi dealers uk ! the punch and die materials one example of a hot hifi dealers uk pressing part is the vane for a gas turbine engine in hifi dealers uk a jet airplane finally after the part has been cast in hifi dealers uk anyone of our methods above we begin drying and firing the hifi dealers uk part to give it strength drying is very critical as the hifi dealers uk part may want to warp and crack from variations in moisture hifi dealers uk and thickness within the part and the complexity of the shape hifi dealers uk control of atmospheric humidity and temperature is very important to avoid hifi dealers uk warping and cracking next the part must be fired this is hifi dealers uk where the part gains it’s strength and hardness the improvement in hifi dealers uk the properties result from (a) development of a strong bond between hifi dealers uk the complex oxide particles in the ceramic and (b) reduced porosity hifi dealers uk after firing additional operations may be performed to give the part hifi dealers uk it’s final shape remove surface flaws and improve the surface of hifi dealers uk the finish and tolerances processes used include; grinding lapping and ultrasonic hifi dealers uk chemical and electrical-discharge machining the finer the finish the higher the hifi dealers uk parts strength will be most product are finally given a glossy hifi dealers uk coating with a glaze material the improve appearance strength once again hifi dealers uk and to make them impermeable structure of refractories materials a refractory hifi dealers uk is a type of ceramic so i’ll refer to ceramics once hifi dealers uk again the structure of a ceramic crystal is among the most hifi dealers uk complex of all materials containing various elements of different sizes the hifi dealers uk bonding between these atoms is generally covalent (electron sharing hence strong hifi dealers uk bonds) and ionic (primary bonding between oppositly charged ions thus strong hifi dealers uk bonds) these bonds are much stronger than metallic bonds consequently the hifi dealers uk properties of ceramics are significantly higher than those for metals particularly hifi dealers uk their hardness and thermal and electrical resistance ceramics are available as hifi dealers uk a single crystal or in a polycrystalline form consisting of many hifi dealers uk grains grain size plays a major role in strength and the hifi dealers uk properties of the part the finer the grain size the higher hifi dealers uk the strength and toughness- hence the term fine ceramics among the hifi dealers uk oldest raw material for ceramics is clay a fine-grained sheet like hifi dealers uk structure the most common being kaolinite white clay consists of silicate hifi dealers uk of aluminum and altering weakly bonded layers of silicon and aluminum hifi dealers uk ions when added to kaolinite water attaches itself to the layers hifi dealers uk makes them slippery and gives wet clay it’s well known softness hifi dealers uk and plastic properties

WHO CHOSE THE TOP 20 U.K. HI-FI, HOME CINEMA & CUSTOM INSTALLATION DEALERS?

From an initial small core group, all the dealers were chosen and invited to participate in these listings. Dealers were chosen following consultation with manufacturers, distributors and other industry experts. Quality of advice, product knowledge, demonstration facilities, service, and installation skills are all essential factors that have helped to decide the selection of the participating dealers. In common with many other trades and areas of commerce, the best dealers are known within the industry. Their reputations have often been built up over many years and are very important to them because much of their custom comes through recommendation. For example, a survey carried out by one of the participating dealers, Rayleigh Hi-Fi, revealed that over 90% of their customers had either purchased from them previously or had come to them on the recommendation of someone who had purchased from them.

All participating Hi-Fi, Home Cinema and Custom Installation dealers are service orientated and employ fully-trained, skilled personnel to ensure their customers get the best results possible. Their distribution is also normally over a large geographical area.

There are two main trade organisations covering the Hi-Fi, Home Cinema and Custom Installation retail and installation industry, British Audio-Visual Dealers Association (B.A.D.A.) and Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA). These organisations help to raise and maintain high standards and offer various safeguards for consumers purchasing through their members. Most of the Top 20 Dealers are members of one or both trade organisations.
